Curran Theatre tickets & upcoming events

If you're looking for a theater experience that combines old-school charm with a touch of grandeur, the Curran Theatre in San Francisco is a pretty awesome spot. The place is decked out with a stunning interior featuring a massive chandelier hanging center stage and intricate plasterwork that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. With a seating capacity of about 1,667, it somehow manages to feel cozy and intimate even with all that space. I mean, I’ve been there for everything from classic Broadway hits like The Royal Family back in 1927 to the first American run of Les Misérables in 1990, and each time the energy is just electric. The mezzanine offers some pretty killer views, perfect for catching audience reactions or just soaking in the ambiance. Getting there is a breeze too, start at Powell Street BART, walk down Market, then turn left, or hop on the 38 Geary bus to the Curran stop. And if you're hunting for tickets, they’ve got all sorts of options, front-row seats for Dino Ranch Live, VIP spots for the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, or budget-friendly choices. Plus, during shows, the theater often spices things up with themed food and drinks, making the whole night even more special. Honestly, catching a show here means you’re in for some unforgettable moments, no matter what’s on stage.
